Hello and welcome to Super Scott 3000's home page of random happenings. You can view all my artwork and what not on the pages that have to do with whatever medium they are completed with. This is meant to be an online portfolio, which it is, but i hope i can make it a little more interesting than just that. There we go, the flash videos should be working now. And it looks like the WebServTech site is offline for good. I thought i had a working copy of the code, but that seems to not be the case. That's what happens when you let somebody else do your archiving. =/
4-4-09 - 3:0pm
I just switched my web sever to a windows box (i'm gonna start running ASP.NET off of it). A few things still arnt working 100% but i'm working on it. For some reason my flash videos are acting up on the MightyBoosh and Jurassic Park sites. Also the WebServTech website my old school was hosting got moved as well, so the MySQL databases arnt working. I'm taking it offline for now, and gonna upload it to my site, then it'll be back up.
Thought i almost had a job in texas, but it didn't pan out. I'm in the process of learning ASP.NET so hopefully that'll open up a few more job offers. I'm probably going to end up re-doing my entire site in ASP.NET as a learning process, so keep tuned in for some hot changes up ahead.

Updated the site yesterday, put up some new stuff and consolidated other pages. My life at the moment consists of trying to find a job and visiting the dentist on a seemingly weekly basis. I thought i was done this week, but this new dentist was like, "oh lol you have more work to do!" the count now is three root canals. i've had three cavities in my life and those three turned into root canals. which leads me to believe the guy who filled those fillings four years ago had no clue wtf he was doing. either way my head feels like it's melting the past few days because of the discomfort. so here's your warning kids: never get cavities.

Alright huge update. Finished my BA the last week of November, and finished with a 3.35 GPA. Since then i went on a social detox and haven't left my house in about five weeks, aside from Thanksgiving and Christmas. I feel like the guy from that xfiles episode who hibernated for 30 years after eating peoples livers. Except for the whole eating liver thing, cause obviously livers are gross no matter where they come from. I feel ready to leave the house now, and the first step is updating my web site. That's how i roll, slow and steady. I'll be doing some needed updating to the site as well, so keep a heads up for that during the rest of the week and over the weekend. But let the soothing sounds of Whale get you through. Honestly they were one of the most underrated bands of the 90s. Truth be told though, growing up i always thought the song was "homo humpin slow-mo babe". I guess sometimes you only hear what you want to hear.

First off, i really enjoyed the debate. Second off, it's only been like 3 months since my last update. Been so busy with school over the past three months that updates have fallen to the wayside. I'll be completely done with school the last week of November, so i'm trying to get everything squared away. Finding a job should be fun too. I'll try to keep the updates flowing with the hot new videos. Hard Gay is awesome. You should go watch all of his episodes on youtube, they are 100% fantastic. He's not really gay either which makes his stunts even funnier to me.

You know you cant ever dislike the french, simply because of Alizee. The girl that is playing the guitar at the beginning looks like Janice Dickenson too, which i don't know if that's a good thing or not. Had a FANTASTIC class discussion today with one of my teachers. It was one of those rare days when you actually really enjoy an english class. I got two hours of sleep last night and i feel like a truck hit me in the face. In other news i went to buy a DVI - DVI cable today for one of my monitors and it was $73 dollars. It made me wonder why i wanted one again, but after not buying it and coming home and looking around online they should be like $10 so i think staples has a cable problem. On that note if you get bored youtube Alizee and you'll be entertained for hours. (or at least 10 minutes)

First off this song is amazing. The album not as amazing as this song, but none the less it's 100% worth checking out. The style and the tones they get are fantastical. Second off, my streaming movies online via netflix obsession has made itself clearly known due to the fact i just looked up all the movies i've watched in the past 3ish months. Here is a partial list.
The Day the Earth Stood Still, Planet of the Apes, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Human Face (BBC Documentary), Dark Days, Big Enough: POV, Spellbound, Death by Design, Sam Kinison: Why Did We Laugh?, Absolute Zero: Nova, Hook (this is still a good movie damnit), Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society, Office Tigers, Billabong Odyssey, Fast, Cheap & Out of Control, The King of Kong (AMAZING), Fahrenheit 451, Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, Ghostbusters, The Endless Summer, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Psycho, Action Jackson, Best of the Best (still my favorite eric roberts movie ever), The Shining, Moby Dick, Vertigo, Dirty Harry, Happenstance, Pan's Labyrinth, Bullitt.
I could keep going but i wont. As you can see this truly illustrates how much time i spend on or around the computer. Also i would like to confess my love for the rockford files. Simply put one of the best shows ever to be on tv. I've watched nearly ever good documentary on netflix though which is kinda depressing. Most of the rest of them are just PBS specials or NOVA programs. It's been cool though to be able to go watch all the old movies that everybody talks about but i've never seen like psycho, vertigo, dirty harry and the like. You get the idea though.
Also if there are any amazing movies you think i should watch shoot me an email, because i don't see this obsession quitting anytime soon.

Ugh SUCKED on updates. No real reason to be honest except school has had my mind preoccupied. Have some really good videos though planned for up coming VOTM. This video though i made for my world of warcraft guild of a in game item we sell. It's a pretty hard mount to get unless you've got a really good group, so after most of the guild got them we started selling them. It's a lot of fun. For now it's off to sleep.

Right this second i have a headache the size of utah. in other news there is no news except i just got done watching "Action Jackson". It's one of the best movies i have ever seen, and i'm not joking. Every pun, every action sequence, every second in the movie is pure gold. It's so great i cant even put into font how amazing it is. Not to mention you get to see Sharon Stone's boobs before she was old and moldy. It's seriously a must see movie. Well i guess another note-worthy mention is i finished My Boring Ass Life: The Uncomfortably Candid Diary of Kevin Smith . It's just a bunch of blog entries of kevin smith the director from Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob. Having seen nearly everything the man has done, it's a fantastic insight into the life and times of a rad guy. It's under my umbrella.

I have become to fucking obsessed with this song it's retarded. I was playing it during a raid the other night (yes i play wow and yes i raid ((pst for armory links)), and one of the other guys in the guild found this song and linked it to me. And i've listened to this version of the song almost as much as the regular song. I don't know why this song sticks in my head so much but it hurts my brain. BUT the Marie Digby version of the song lead to me checking out some of her own songs and she has another song called "Stupid for You" and it is SO FUCKING CUTE. I would marry this girl if she asked me. RIGHT this second. No second thoughts. but i don't actually know how old she is so i'm hoping she's at least 18 or else i'm gonna feel really gross. In other news i have a five page rough draft due on tuesday and it's an argumentative essay. my thesis is: "The Meaning of Life is to be Good and God is the greatest Good." i'll be doing it without using religion or the bible or any of that kinda stuff. so it should be pretty fun.
i've been getting the 10 dollars worth out of the netflix online streaming deal let me tell you what. Shit's off the chizzle for blizzle. i've watched so many movies over the past week i don't even know where to begin. Here's to an amazing weekend for all.

Well i'm a lot less confused as of right now. Almost dare i say "happy"? Anyway had my math final today and it'll be the very last math class i ever take in my entire fucking life. fuck math and fuck fractions, in the ass no lube style. In other news, the family has a subscription to netflix, and unknown to me until friday, there is a selection of movies you can stream online and watch for free in addition to your dvds you get. And let me tell you i haven't stopped having movies on my computer since i found this out. i even pulled out the extra monitor and hooked it up and i have one monitor for movies and my main one for regular day to day happenings.
Quick run down on a few of the movies i've seen since friday:
Who the fuck is Jackson Pollock: fantastic little documentary about this lady truck driver who finds a jackson pollock and the art world tells her to fuck off.
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey: like i need to tell you what this is about
Pan's Labyrinth: fucking awesome all i have to say.
Confessions of a Superhero: holy christ. it's a documentary from the guy that did supersize me, about those guys in front of mann's chinese theater and dress up as super heroes and take pictures for tips. this is the movie i linked the trailer for in the previous entry.
there are more but i don't feel like finding them on IMDB.
Amazing though. alright back to web page design for project due tomorrow that i've almost started.

Hot Shit i just watched cloverfield, and damnit that's a fun movie. Obviously having lower expectations than i'm sure most people had while sitting in the theater, i still think it was a pretty good movie. and! like all the chicks in the movie are pretty hot, which was another good reason to watch it. Highlights: the chick blowing up, and the end. I don't know what else to say except to check it out if you haven't. Holla.

First things first. Sorry about the intermission of entries, i know so many people have come to rely on my frequent videos of random happenings. Second things second. Maroon5. Why the hell can you never find a "Maroon Five Fan"? It seems like 90% of the people i talk to never mention the band or talk about "their latest album", yet if those same people hear a song they're like "fuck that's catchy". So i present you with this question: Does a band like Maroon5 actually have fans? Does becoming too popular and the like eradicate your fan base to where they don't bring you up in public out of fear of being disowned by their local trendsetters? So i don't know i'd be willing to vote a certain degree of yes on that question. This video is really damn good though even if you don't like the song.
In other news there is no news except that i'm listening to the Mark Ronson album called Version. It's a bunch of cover songs done to like jazz hip hop beats with a live band. It's pretty rad. It's a weird way to hear some old songs. Like they cover Radiohead's Just, and on lead vocals is Phantom Planets lead singer. It's pretty fuckin rad. He's got a lot of cool singers doing each song, i'd put a high recommendation on it.

Well the flash video is finally done. I think it turned out pretty rad. Having known what i know now i would have done a few things different, like made the damn otter feet move, and the like. But whatever i'm happy with it for the amount of time i put into it. Not to mention i got to use a pantera song which obviously is the coolest thing about the video. My next classes are not going to be fun so i had to try and make the most out of this class. So yeah. Hope you enjoy it and shoot me some mail with your thoughts about it, or comment on the video via youtubes. True it up.

Thank you jesus, a new season of the mighty boosh has been born into life. Maybe they'll finally make some dvds come out in the US. It's seriously one of the best shows to ever happen to tv. I just watched the episode the eels song is from and it's going to be a good day just because i'll be singing that song all day now. Ah the joys of annoying the shit out of people with a song that makes zero sense. Love it. In other news my sea otter movie is due on Wed. and i'll be going korean animator style over the weekend to make sure it turns out as well as i want it to.

First off time changes are dumb. Second off this CCP song is fantastically awesome. I'm eating poptarts again, thinking about the dream i had last night and deciding how much i want to get done today. What are you doing today? Anything fun? Also something i just realized, i've never in my 15 years of computering once used the "scroll lock" key. Is there some magical program i've never used using this key all the time? One more thing before i scoot, i watched this yesterday on tv Download: The True Story of the Internet. They were doing a section on the netscape vs. ie battles. It was pretty awesome to see like all the backroom stuff that went on in those days, and all the microsoft hyjinx. It was fun to remember back what i was doing during those days, and correlate it to what was going on with the two companies that i had no idea what was happening. Like when i first started using the internet EVERYBODY was using netscape, and IE more or less didn't exist. Then the dark period entered, when netscape kinda went dead in the water, and wasn't able to view a lot of pages and IE was the only option. Then finally in the early 2000's Firebird showed up, which was later renamed to FireFox, the browser that saved many a people who were tired of dealing with the pile of shit that came with IE. It was fun to watch the show and remember all those eras and place them with when i was using the intarwebz. Yes it's nerdy, but it's still fun.

I was just talking about this the other day, why the shit didn't the power rangers, voltron, or any other "mega forming robot" series just make the main guy at the start of the fight? It's like they wait till they loose fighting in human form or by themselves, then they're like oh shit lets form voltron! If i wrote those shows it'd be like this:
Red Ranger: guys! there is a huge ass monster kicking our towns ass!
White Ranger: okay form the fuckin huge ass thing already i have a date with the pink ranger.
Pink Ranger: yeah he said he's talking me to the olive garden at six and it's 5:30 right now so lets hurry this up.
They form megazord, or whatever the power ranger one was called, fight the villain and win.
Obviously my version of the show would be kinda boring, but hey it would be a lot more realistic. Like what if we fought wars in the real world that way? "what?! they've got tanks and a billion miles of coastal defense?" "well lets just like throw some rocks at them for a bit and see what happens." But i guess in the case of the invasion of normandy instead of throwing rocks they threw people. So hey maybe the power rangers isn't that far off after all.

Well first off if you're in any of the states voting today i hope you get off your ass and vote. Also i just realized that all my dates had 07 on them, which makes me look pretty dumb. Copy and Pasting is the lazy way kids, breaking the habit is how OG's roll. This Feist song is so fantastically rad i'm glad i saw the video. My mind is warping i think, but more on that later. My main concern as of late is my shitty ass phone. First of all i couldn't update its software because the serial number was wrong on the tmobile web site and it wouldn't let me download the files i needed. Then after i got that sorted out, i cant for the life of me find the cable to hook up to my computer to update it. I just wish my treo600 would suddenly come back to life and work again. It's honestly the best phone i've ever had ever. It doesn't even have an audible ringer and it's still better than this piece of shit phone i have. I started working on my next project video, which should be done in a few weeks, so that'll give me something to do. Also i got my first slice of work as a graphic designer, sort of, doing a guitar companies myspace page. It's a good way for me to kind of slide into getting into a mind set of how this business sort of works. I'm eating cold pizza what are you eating?

The Past. Why do people get sentimental about it? Obviously not all of our past experiences are fantastic, but when you drive by the house you were born in, or down the street of your favorite grandma's house and you remember emotions from the past, good and bad. Since it was hot out today and my A/C is still broken, and not wanting to drive on the freeway with my windows down for a half hour at 80mph, i took the long way home. This way back to my house also brings me rather close to both places i just mentioned. Matter of fact with the way i went to school today, i actually have seen all the places i've lived in 27 years all in one day. The house i was born in, i lived in till i was about 7, then we moved into an apartment in order to sell that house, and used that money to build the house i'm living in now. We lived in that apartment for about 3 year-ish.
Seeing those places makes me remember things that i forgot i remembered. Like when i drove by my first house, i noticed the huge ass tree we had out front was gone, and i remembered when i was little and used to climb it and sit up there for hours pretending i was in a fort and what not. When i drove by the apartment i remembered that's when i first got into video games. (Not having a yard will do that) But then when i drove by my grandmas old house i remembered all the good times from growing up, and knowing that's never go to happen again (She and my Grandpa are dead). Her and my Grandpa were in my life a lot when i was younger, and some of the things i think about the most are times that have to do with them. I think the past has that affect on everybody more or less, but i don't understand why. Do we keep all those memories to help compare then with current events? Or do we keep even have a choice about keeping them?
I could keep going but i wont.

Oh man i actually laughed out loud to that video. Big ups to the paki for getting her myspace bulletin on and letting everybody in on the awesomeness. I have a school project due in a couple weeks now and it's for my class in flash. i've already figured out what i'm going to do and let me tell you, it's going to be pretty damn amazing. it's going to be a couple minute animation for a movie trailer for a movie i'm making up. i don't want to ruin the surprise, but i'll leak some elements. Sea Otters, Sharks, epic sea battles, and sea urchin grenade launchers. Other than that i'm cutting my hair today which always is fun times. Man i'm exciting.

I hate being out of chap stick. It's one of my top five thing i would need if i were to end up on a desert island. So i added some pretty cool stuff yesterday. First off i fixed the spelling errors. But spell check doesn't check the text on the pictures that pop up, so if those are spelled wrong i'll never know. Secondly, i added a pretty sweet little widget that tells you what songs i'm listening to, and have listened to in the past couple of hours. So feel free to check it and laugh at some of the horrible music i have on my computer. People have been pissing me off lately, well just one person really, and i don't know how i'm suppose to think about it. I just think it's funny how you get to know somebody then they end up being completely different after a few months. I think sir ian can agree it's "acting".

Another day another diet coke and pop tarts, yet today i've switched up from brown cinnamon to strawberry. i do enjoy cinnamon pop tarts more but if i feel the need for fruit intake i switch it over to strawberry. i have big things planned for the day, which means spending as much time in front of the keyboard as possible. oh i put up the family music butt rock music last night too. for those that don't know, this was a band i played drums in for about a year before our singer/bass player moved to texas (only to come back a year-ish later). the video was made with my little still camera using the video option. it's a pretty funny video and it's a nearly complete moving history of that time period in the lives of the four of us. good times and great oldies.
